NEW!Landlord Tenant Conference Center to Open 5/18/17
The Conference Center is additional meeting space on the 2nd floor of Court Building B for landlords and tenants who have cases in the Landlord and Tenant Branch to discuss settlement options. The Center will also house offices for the Legal Aid Society of DC and Bread for the City who provide services to litigants referred to them by the Landlord-Tenant Resource Center and the Court.

How do I file a case regarding my lease agreement?
- The Landlord and Tenant Branch handles all actions for the possession of real property. The Housing Conditions Calendar handles requests from a tenant that the court enter an order requiring the landlord to repair the tenant’s rental unit.

- Inform low-income litigants of financial and other social service resources that might be available and refer them to the appropriate resources
